How To Change Microsoft Edge Default Search Engine

How to change the default search engine in Microsoft Edge

Keeping Bing as your default search engine provides an enhanced search experience in the new Microsoft Edge , including direct links to Windows 10 apps, relevant suggestions from your Microsoft 365 Subscription if you’re signed in with a work or school account.

However, you can change the default search engine to any provider of your choice including Google, Alexa DuckDuckGo and many more.

Steps to change search in edge:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. At the top right, click Settings and more Settings.
  3. On the left, click Privacy and Services. If you don’t find this, first click the Menu Menu at the top left.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Address bar.
  5. In the “Search engine used in the address bar” drop-down, select Google.
