How to Set Up Your Browser Start-Up Pages

Customise Your Browser Start Pages

Modern web browsers allow users to open multiple web pages on start up. To set your start-up pages, follow the guide below:

A start-up page is the one that is displayed when you first launch a web browser on your device.

Google Chrome

  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click on More, then click Settings.
  • Under ‘On start-up’, select Open a specific page or set of pages.
  • Click Add a new page. Enter the web address and click Add.

Edge

  • On your computer, open Edge.
  • At the top right, click on More, then Settings.
  • Click on Start, home, and new tabs
  • Under When Microsoft Edge Starts, click on Open these pages.
  • Click on Add a new page, enter the web address and click Add.

Safari

  • In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari, Settings, then click General.
  • In the Homepage field, enter a web page address.
  • Choose when your homepage is shown. To Open new windows with your homepage: Click the “New windows open with” pop-up menu, then choose Homepage. Or Open new tabs with your homepage: Click the “New tabs open with” pop-up menu, then choose Homepage.
